Today, we visited Poole Park to celebrate the Railway's 10th anniversary. O was thrilled to watch a man riding a steamtrain, while A was intrigued by its mechanics. We enjoyed watching ducks in the pond before moving on to the play park, where they enjoyed the wooden train, sandpit, and various balance equipment. Later, we examined a police car and even tried on the helmets. In the large park, we completed an obstacle course with great success. Then, we took a delightful train ride, had our tickets clipped, and waved our flags. Each of us chose an item to spot during the journey. We noticed a building with a train track inside and, after our ride, we explored it to find a miniature railway with Emily from Thomas and Friends chugging along, much to their delight. A noticed a track on the floor and questioned its purpose. I explained that the room serves as the train's nighttime storage, which she found fascinating. We concluded our day with ice cream. Throughout the day, we kept a count of the trains we observed, which amounted to five distinct ones.
